Membership

How do I become a member?

Membership is open to anyone who cares about Arlington’s natural areas. Join on our Membership page — dues directly support our programs, events, and conservation advocacy.

Do I have to be a member to attend events or volunteer?

No. Our events and work days are open to everyone. Membership simply deepens your support and helps fund the work year-round.

Volunteering & Events

Do I need experience to volunteer?

Not at all. Every cleanup, planting, and work day welcomes first-timers, and we provide the tools and guidance. See the ways to pitch in on our Community Service page.

Are ACC events free?

Yes — all ACC events are free and open to the public, and most are family-friendly. Browse what’s coming up on our events calendar.

Can my group list a community event on your calendar?

Yes. Partner organizations and friends-of-the-park groups can list events on our calendar. Contact us to join forces and we’ll get you set up.

Donations & Support

Where do my donations go?

Every contribution stays local. Donations fund speaker events, habitat restoration, and a stronger voice for conservation in city decisions. You can give through our Sponsorship or Membership pages.

How can my business sponsor ACC?

Local businesses help power our work. Visit the Sponsorship page or reach out to talk about partnering with ACC.

About ACC & FAUNA

What is the Arlington Conservation Council?

ACC is a volunteer-led organization working to protect and enhance Arlington’s natural environment since 1969 — through habitat stewardship, public education, and a steady voice for sound environmental policy. Learn more about us.

What is FAUNA?

FAUNA — Friends of Arlington’s Unique Natural Areas — is a coalition ACC founded in 2019 that brings the city’s friends-of-the-park groups to one table to share challenges, coordinate plans, and speak with one voice. Meet the coalition.

Is ACC part of the City of Arlington?

No. ACC is an independent, volunteer-driven organization. We work alongside the city, the parks department, and partner groups, but we are not a city department.

How do I get in touch?

The quickest way is our Contact page. We’re always glad to hear from neighbors, volunteers, and partner groups.
